Córdoba, Argentina, Became the Epicenter of Innovation from September 25th to 28th, When the Most Outstanding Graduates of the PIFCSS South-South Cooperation Diploma Came Together for a Hackathon Full of Creativity and Transformative Solutions.
During three intense days, 18 professionals from Ibero-America put their ingenuity and teamwork to the test, designing prototypes to address some of the most relevant challenges in South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSC&T) in the Ibero-American region. The event was a true incubator of innovation, merging the talent and vision of professionals committed to change.
In addition to the Hackathon, participants attended inspiring conferences, training sessions, and visits to leading institutions in local development.
The three prototypes presented, all focused on knowledge circulation and the generation of horizontal connections and opportunities, stood out for their innovative approach and transformative potential:
- “Yachay 180°”: A web tool for knowledge management that connects actors, calls for proposals, and South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSC&T) projects, promoting synergy among them to accelerate development and multiply the impact of their initiatives.
- “Conex-Sur”: An alert system designed to strengthen ties between national and local levels, improving communication and access to key information. With advanced tools and an alert system, this initiative facilitates the detection of calls for proposals, programs, events, and opportunities throughout the region.
- “Ibersinapsis”: A community-driven project aimed at bringing together graduates from the six editions of the South-South Cooperation Diploma. The goal is simple but powerful: to create professional networks that promote continuous learning and the replication of successful experiences.
Beyond the creation of interesting initiatives, the Hackathon was also a space for forging friendships and building work networks, essential for the future of cooperation in the region.
In summary, the Hackathon proved to be a vibrant space for experimentation and solutions to the challenges of SSC&T, where the collective intelligence of the South was powerfully deployed, showcasing the power of knowledge in regional cooperation.
